Engineering Manager (Permanent)

Due to business growth and expansion our established Manufacturing business, based in Motherwell, is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager.

Leading a team of on-site and offshore Engineers, the Engineering Manager’s role will be to deliver genuine improvements in a range of areas within the business.

Your tasks

  • You will focus on the management and performance of the Engineering team in delivering the key business objectives by utilising your innovative, organised and results driven character.
  • You will also be heavily involved with NPI and Continuous Improvement and as such be accountable for all elements of our customers’ projects from cradle to grave (from quotation all the way through the complete production process).
  • The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for reducing set up and improving throughput within the facility, thus maximising available capacity and throughput for the existing portfolio of parts.
  • This change will create capacity to enable the business to inload additional parts into the existing facility whilst maximising operational performance.
  • Delivering this improvement will draw upon your knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques, SMED activity and on your knowledge of Design for Manufacture techniques.

Requirements

Your Profile

Our ideal candidate will ideally have experience of working within the Aerospace industry, possess a HND/Degree in an Engineering discipline and will be able to demonstrate successful team performance. Applicants who fulfil the above criteria with knowledge/experience of CNC based manufacturing are also encouraged to apply.
